Gum Contouring

It is a procedure approached with the concept of reshaping the gum line to reveal the true, original size of teeth that have been covered by excess gum tissue.

It takes approximately 20–30 minutes under local anesthesia. In most cases, the consultation and imaging are completed first on the same day, followed by the procedure. If you are concerned about pain, a computer-controlled anesthesia device is available to ensure a more comfortable experience.

Most patients can resume daily activities the same day. Gum recovery takes approximately one week, and individual results may vary.

There is a claim that recurrence depends on the equipment used, but that is not the case. The key factor is whether the alveolar bone was assessed. In cases where alveolar bone reshaping is also required, proceeding without that assessment may increase the likelihood of recurrence.

Gum Contouring is not a treatment that exposes the tooth roots. Any sensitivity that does occur is usually temporary.

If the cause involves both the gums and the lip muscles, both can be addressed together. We will advise you after confirming whether both factors are present during the diagnosis.

Procedures can be performed on the same day as the consultation. Please let us know when booking if you would like same-day treatment, and we will proceed if your case is suitable. Even if you do not mention it in advance, we will proceed on the same day if the schedule allows. Please note, however, that receiving treatment on the same day is different from recovering on the same day.

Walk-in visits may result in a significant wait time. We operate on an appointment basis, so booking in advance allows us to schedule you at your preferred time.

It depends on the underlying cause. If the gums are covering the teeth, we consider Gum Contouring first; if the muscles that lift the upper lip are overdeveloped, we consider Lip Repositioning first. We will advise you after identifying the cause through X-rays and clinical findings.

You can use the building's automated parking facility free of charge for up to one hour. Please note that due to the mechanical nature of the system, parking may be difficult for larger vehicles such as SUVs.
